Valley Green Retail Hub (Nellysford, VA)
Strategic Infrastructure Upgrades and High-Capacity Power Deployment for the VA-151 Corridor.
The Project Vision
The Valley Green Retail Hub project represents a strategic infrastructure deployment at the heart of the Nelson 151 "Brewery Trail." Located in Nellysford, VA, this site serves as a critical gateway for visitors to Wintergreen Resort and the surrounding rural tourism corridor.
In March 2026, Volt Virginia successfully finalized a Joint Venture with Got Electric LLC to move this project into the construction phase, ensuring that the Nelson 151 corridor remains a leader in sustainable rural infrastructure.
Strategic Milestones
Safe Harbor Secured
On March 16, 2026, the project team executed the hardware procurement and "Audit Stack" to lock in Buy America (BABA) FHWA compliance. This move protects the site’s federal tax equity and ensures the hardware meets the highest domestic manufacturing standards.
Future-Proofed Hardware
The site will feature four high-speed Level 2 charging ports via ChargePoint CP6600-series hardware. These units are equipped with native Omni-port holsters, allowing both J1772 and Tesla (NACS) drivers to charge without the need for adapters.
Regional Economic Driver
With over 600,000 annual visitors to the Wintergreen area, this hub is designed to support "Slow Tourism"—encouraging EV drivers to dwell, shop, and dine at Valley Green while they recharge.
