Project Spotlight: Securing the Nellysford Rural Corridor
KM

Yesterday marked a pivotal milestone for Volt Virginia and the future of charging infrastructure in the Nelson 151 corridor.
We have officially finalized our Joint Venture with Got Electric LLC to deploy a high-capacity, 4-port charging hub in Nellysford, VA. By executing our procurement before the March 16th federal deadline, we have successfully secured "Safe Harbor" status for the project—locking in Buy America (BABA) compliance and protecting critical federal tax equity for the site.
Strategic Impact: Located at the gateway to Wintergreen Resort and the iconic Route 151 brewery trail, this hub is designed for "Slow Tourism." Featuring native support for both J1772 and Tesla (NACS) vehicles, this site ensures that the thousands of visitors exploring Nelson County each weekend have a reliable, future-proofed place to charge while they dine and shop.
The Partnership: This project represents the first of many in our collaboration with Got Electric LLC. By combining Volt Virginia's development and compliance logic with Got Electric’s Tier-1 installation expertise, we are proving that rural infrastructure can be both high-tech and high-yield.
A Collaborative Effort: This milestone was made possible not just by hardware and capital, but by a shared vision for the Nellysford community. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to our host site partners at Valley Green as well as key members of CVEC and the Nelson County Board of Supervisors. Their commitment to enhancing local amenities and supporting sustainable tourism was the catalyst for getting this project off the ground.
This collaboration between Volt Virginia, Got Electric LLC, and the Valley Green site leadership ensures that Nellysford remains a premier destination for years to come.
Construction is slated for completion by June 30th. Stay tuned for site updates.
