What is the Fully-Funded Managed Model?

Volt Virginia acts as the developer and owner-operator for qualified strategic anchors. We leverage an integrated funding model—utilizing proprietary capital solutions and strategic infrastructure incentives—to cover 100% of the equipment and installation for high-utilization corridors.

What if my site doesn't meet the utilization requirements for a fully-funded hub?

For destination-based sites or private amenities, we offer an Asset Ownership Path. We provide the same expert engineering and SWTCH software management while helping you maximize federal tax credits and state grants for host-owned equipment.

Do I need to coordinate with the utility company (e.g. CVEC or Dominion)?

No. Volt Virginia handles 100% of the utility relationship. We manage the entire interconnection process, from initial load studies and engineering to final inspections. Whether your site is in CVEC or Dominion territory, we serve as the sole point of contact for the power company, ensuring the infrastructure is deployed without any administrative burden on your staff.

Who pays for the electricity used by the chargers?

For Volt-managed hubs, we install a dedicated meter to ensure zero impact on your operational budget. We typically install a dedicated utility meter for our equipment so the electricity is billed directly to us, completely separate from your business's utility bill. In cases where a separate meter isn't feasible, we use integrated software to track exact kilowatt-hour usage and provide 100% reimbursement to the site host. Your operational budget is never impacted by guest charging.

Who is responsible for maintenance and uptime?

Volt Virginia is. We use institutional-grade, high-performance hardware and manage all ongoing maintenance, software, and payment processing. Our goal is 97%+ uptime to ensure your guests have a seamless, premium experience.

Why is Volt Virginia focused on the TJPDC and CVEC regions?

These corridors are currently "charging deserts" that limit tourism and local commerce. By focusing on regional anchors (winery, resort, and grocery hubs), we build a cohesive network that positions these corridors for priority infrastructure investment and long-term regional economic resilience.

How do you handle grid constraints in rural or mountain areas?

We specialize in Battery-Buffered Technology. Unlike traditional chargers that require massive, expensive utility upgrades, our systems store energy onsite. This allows us to deliver high-speed charging while "sipping" power from the existing grid, avoiding transformer upgrades and peak-demand utility spikes for the property owner.

How do you achieve a capital-neutral deployment?

We utilize a sophisticated mix of industrial incentives and infrastructure yields to ensure 100% of the project is funded without impacting your bottom line.

What is Volt Virginia’s Federal Credential?

We are fully registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM.gov), allowing us to serve as an authorized private-sector partner for institutional infrastructure origination and regional corridor development.

"We are currently prioritizing infrastructure origination for strategic anchors within the TJPDC and Central Virginia regions. If your property serves as a high-traffic community or tourism hub, let’s evaluate its potential for our current community deployment cycles." — Kory Mohr, Founder
